 Recommended Web Sites

American Pharmaceutical Association Emergency Response Center - a useful guide for pharmacist and other medical professionals who need to increase their level of preparedness in response to BioTerrorism. Contains guidelines, procedures and information on how to respond to chemical and biological attacks on the United States.  (Highly Recommended)
The Pharmacist Letter - a digest and advisory service on developments of interest to the pharmacist.  It is simple yet organized, the concise summaries give fast, clinically relevant information.  In my humble opinion the most succinct source of information for the pharmacist on the web!  CE, access to past and present Pharmacist Letter info, detail documents, excellent search capabilities, forums to confer with colleagues.
The Medical Letter - an independent, peer-reviewed, nonprofit publication that offers unbiased critical evaluations of drugs, with special emphasis on new drugs, to physicians and other members of the health professions.
Medical Matrix - The Medical Matrix Project is devoted to posting, annotating, and continuously updating "full content, unrestricted access, Internet clinical medicine resources."  The Project is designed primarily for the medical professional and can be considered a one stop shopping place to find links to highly useful medical information.  Each link is assigned a rank of 1-5 Stars based on their utility for point-of-care clinical application. (Highly Recommended)
California State Board of Pharmacy - here you will find valuable information on Licensure Verification, License Information, Application Info, What's New, Forms & Publications, Legislation & Regulations, Frequently Ask Questions, and more.
Family Practice Notebook - a peripheral brain intended to aid primary care providers by providing quick, to the point information on family practice medicine.  It is an ongoing compendium of the diagnosis and management of common medical problems seen in Family Practice.
Family Health: Sound Medical Advice - a daily series of 2 1/2-minute radio programs providing practical, easy-to-understand answers to health and health care questions. The series deals with the common health problems and the latest health developments.  The website has an archive that lets you listen to previously recorded audio programs.
Gray's Anatomy - The Bartleby.com edition of Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body features 1,247 vibrant engravings -- many in color -- from the classic 1918 publication, as well as a subject index with 13,000 entries ranging from the Antrum of Highmore to the Zonule of Zinn.  Mainly of historical interest.
